Aquarium Land: Did You Know?

That the land on and around the Oregon Coast Aquarium is a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Foundation?

Originally the site of a lumber mill, our 30 acre property was intentionally landscaped with more than 100 different plant species that are native to our Oregon Coast. These plants provide habitat for native insects and birds including bumble bees, hummingbirds, butterflies, beetles, ants, and moths. Our amazing team of groundskeepers work hard to maintain the grounds using environmentally friendly methods to make it a beautiful and safe place for all the living things that depend on it, including us!
