About the Oregon Coast Aquarium

Here at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, our mission is to create special experiences that help you feel connected to the Oregon coast, fall in love with the ocean, and inspire you to help take care of it. The Aquarium is a living classroom for everyone who visits. Some of our visitors come with their school or club, and others come with their families. Over 40,000 students visit the Aquarium each year.

Aquariums, like the Oregon Coast Aquarium, are essential to wildlife rescue and care efforts. Many aquariums like us provide short-term and long-term care to vulnerable, stranded, and injured animals. The Aquarium is one of three marine wildlife care facilities in the Pacific Northwest, and the only one in Oregon, authorized by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to provide special care to marine life that are injured or need a home.

We depend on the oceans, and they depend on us! We all need to do our part to help keep our oceans and the animals that live there healthy.
